Sensors make automatic irrigation intelligent, and ensure that irrigation is only carried out when necessary. This saves water, conserves resources and prevents too much moisture in the soil.
A distinction is made between rain and soil moisture sensors.
Rain sensors interrupt irrigation when there is sufficient natural rainfall. Soil moisture sensors interrupt irrigation when the soil is still sufficiently moist and no irrigation is required.
