Which pipe for which amount of water? How much water will fit through the pipe?
Generally, a 25 mm (3/4") PE pipe is sufficient for your garden irrigation to keep the pressure drop sufficiently low. However, if your water supply is significantly above 1.8 m³/h, and if this flow rate is required by one irrigation circuit, or if the distance between the water supply and the furthest sprinkler is significantly above 60 m, then you should use 32 mm (1") PE pipe for your irrigation system.
A 32 mm PE pipe can be used for irrigation systems up to 3 cubic meters of water per hour. This means that the pressure losses in the pipe can be kept low even at higher flow rates. You can calculate the pressure losses using the tool www.pressure-drop.com.
