Sprinklers & Fittings

Installing your lawn irrigation with flexible sprinkler connection

Sprinklers are suitable for watering large areas in the garden "from above". Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the lawn - but beds and ground covers can also be watered with sprinklers. Sprinklers spray evenly over the lawn or rotate their water jet in a circle over the lawn.
Pop-up sprinklers with a ten-centimetre riser (for example Hunter Pros-04) are suitable for watering lawns. For watering plants in beds, there are riser heights of up to 30 centimetres.
To ensure that the irrigation system works well for many years and that the sprinkler can still be adjusted years later, we recommend flexible sprinkler connections.

Connecting sprinklers flexibly - a pro tip on how to install your irrigation

Pop-up sprinklers are installed in the ground. The pipes, fittings and sprinklers are all made of plastic. If the sprinklers are fixed directly to the PE pipe with a pressure fitting, this can cause problems during operation. For one thing, the height of the sprinkler cannot be adjusted, but it should always be flush with the ground. On the other hand, strains from the lawn surface during play or work can cause fatigue fractures in the plastic of the sprinkler or pipe. When planning and installing the sprinklers, we therefore recommend connecting them flexibly with a flex pipe approx. 70-100 cm in length. This ensures that the sprinkler can be adjusted to the soil levels in the garden even after years of operation. Any forces exerted on the sprinkler from above can be absorbed by the flexible pipe and are not passed on to the pipes and fittings.

Retractable sprinklers for garden irrigation - watering the garden automatically

Here you will find everything you need when it comes to sprinklers and accessories: MP Rotators from Hunter - the well-proven and high-quality pop-up sprinklers -, spray nozzles, rotor sprinklers, large-area sprinklers and sprinkler fittings.
Pop-up sprinklers are installed in the ground. As soon as water pressure hits the sprinkler, the riser extends (e.g. 10 cm), irrigates and disappears back into its spray body in the ground after the water is turned off. A neat thing, without any garden hoses lying around - pretty to look at when the system is running, and otherwise invisible.
The installation is a little more complex, but will leave you with the good feeling that you have installed a solid solution for the next 20 years.

The Hunter MP Rotator - our tip for garden irrigation

The MP Rotator from Hunter is the entry- as well as the professional level spray nozzle that screws onto the spray body.
The MP Rotators are available in different colours indicating different spraying radii (in m), spraying patterns (in m * m), flow rates (in m³/h) and throw sectors (in m). Throw sectors are adjustable and can be regulated in the vast majority of cases. MP Rotators and spray nozzles are equipped with a water filter that keeps impurities out of the small diffuser openings.

Spray nozzles for your irrigation system in small gardens

Spray nozzles with fixed or adjustable spray sectors are suitable for watering smaller lawns. If your garden has a lawn with many narrow areas, then a spray sprinkler irrigation system is suitable. The nozzles spray the water only a few metres over the lawn.

Rotor sprinklers - sprinklers for the big throw in garden irrigation

Rotor sprinklers achieve particularly large spraying radii and are suitable for large, preferably rectangular lawn areas. As the name suggests, large-area sprinklers are suitable for large areas.

Sprinkler fittings for irrigation systems - professional installation for reliable operation

Sprinkler fittings are the connecting parts between the branch pipe and the sprinkler. Professionals arrange the sprinklers so that the sprinkler circuits  overlap laterally. You can find examples for determining sprinkler circuits in our planning manual. The supply lines to the sprinklers are laid underground so that you can enjoy your green lawn as before.

Impulse sprinklers and square sprinklers for irrigation

Large-area sprinklers are usually connected to a PE pipe that is laid underground. If the installation is to be carried out very quickly and without any earthwork, it is also possible to work with PE pipe or garden hose laid above-ground.
