Instruction according to § 18 battery law (BattG)

Information duties according to the Battery Act (BattG)

Please make sure that you return old batteries/rechargeable batteries to the municipal collection points or to your local retailer as prescribed by law.

The disposal of batteries in regular household waste is strictly prohibited and you are in breach of the Battery Act. You can dispose of old batteries free of charge. Batteries or rechargeable batteries purchased from us can be returned to us free of charge after use. A return of the batteries/rechargeable batteries by post must always be sufficiently franked by you.

Batteries that contain hazardous substances/pollutants are clearly marked with a crossed-out dustbin. Under this symbol (crossed-out bin) you will find a list of the harmful substances that have died in the battery/rechargeable battery. Some of the substances used are e.g: Lead (PB), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg):
