From the water supply via the valve distribution to the sprinkler or drip pipe
The valve distribution unit is fed with water for your irrigation system. The water source available may be rainwater from the cistern, well water or tap water. In a pressure resistant PE pipe the water is fed to the valve distribution system via your Plug&Rain® water connection unit and also ideally via the Plug&Rain® filter unit. Water sockets for your garden can be branched off in the permanent pressure area between water supply and valve distribution by means of a T-piece.
Multi-core control cables between irrigation control unit and valve distribution
The proven Hunter or Rain Bird solenoid valves release the individual irrigation circuits for watering according to the control signals from your irrigation computer. The solenoid valves are closed when there is no current, so between watering times, the solenoid valves reliably keep the pipe closed. A multi-core cable runs between the control unit and the valve distribution, one wire for each valve and one wire for the common earthing. For a valve distribution with 4 valves, you therefore need a 5-core cable.
Hunter distribution units are fitted with high-quality, high-flow hard PVC 1" threaded couplings from Dura (ECO & EXPERT). Or with threaded couplings in a sophisticated brass version with the same dimensions (PREMIUM). Rain Bird distribution units are fitted with HDPE manifolds from Tavlit.
Depending on the series, drain valves or a compressed air connection unit for the winterisation of your irrigation system are also installed here.
Planning your garden irrigation with the DVS Irrigation Planner and the Plug&Rain® irrigation system from DVS Beregnung
The DVS Irrigation Planner is our planning software for planning your irrigation system. With this free online planning tool you can quickly and easily plan your garden irrigation in just a few steps. Based on the available water volume and the total water consumption of all sprinklers and drip pipes, the software automatically calculates how many valves you need in your valve distribution.
