Step 1: Before you start – measure the water pressure and flow rate

Before you start, you should know how much water pressure and flow rate are available at your connection. You can easily determine this with a flow meter.

Why is this important? The water pressure (= your available water volume) can be used to determine how many sprinklers you can operate at the same time to achieve optimal irrigation results for your garden.

Step 2: Register with DVS irrigation planner

Register for free with our online planning software. This is where your personal irrigation plan begins, perfectly tailored to your garden.

To use the DVS irrigation planner, you just need to log in to our online store or register as a new customer. Your irrigation plan and your projects are displayed and saved by the planning software directly in your customer account under the heading “Garden Plans”.

Step 3: Simply plan online with the DVS irrigation planner

The planner itself will guide you step by step through the entire planning process:

1. Draw in the areas – The first step is to draw in all the areas to be watered in the software. A true-to-scale plan (JPEG) is ideal, which you can then scale after uploading. All lawns are planned with pop-up sprinklers, all beds and hedges with drip tubes.
2. Determine water connection & system elements – You determine the location of your water connection and enter the available water quantity (measuring device / characteristic curve). This is used later to precisely dimension the sprinkler circles. Then you determine where your control and valve box should be installed.
3. Automatically place sprinklers – You can let the software automatically place the sprinklers. The algorithm and precipitation simulation ensure that you can optimally cover your entire lawn. For even and efficient lawn irrigation.
4. Calculate lines and define zones – In the next step, the software automatically calculates the line routing. We always take into account the available amount of water and calculate the pressure loss. In this step, you can divide your system into meaningful zones (sun / shade) and ensure that the irrigation zones are evenly utilized. We are happy to help!
5. Checkout order & optionally request an audit – The software creates a complete parts list for you with all the materials you need, from sprinklers to pipes and valves to a controller, so you have a clear overview of your irrigation system.
