Meter for determining Available Water Volume
Your first step in professional garden Irrigation planning!
The Indispensable Tool for Planning an Irrigation System
It's easy to determine - with a 10 l bucket and this meter - the amount of water per hour with which you can automatically irrigate your garden. This value is the basis for the determination of the number of sprinklers or the number of drip points on the drip pipe in one irrigation area.
In order for the sprinklers or the drip pipe to work correctly and for the radius to meet expectations, they must be operated with sufficient water pressure. This means that only so much water may be tapped that the operating pressure of the system does not drop below 3.5 bar.
This maximum tapping volume can be determined easily and quickly with our meter. To do this, the meter is connected to the water tap. The tap is opened completely. The flow rate at the meter is then reduced with the ball valve until the manometer indicates a line pressure of 3.5 bar. A 10 litre bucket is filled with the outflowing water and the time required to fill it is measured. From the number of seconds required to fill the 10 l bucket, the water output at 3.5 bar in litres / hour or m³/h can then be determined.
(10 l (contents of the bucket) x 3,6)/time determined (sec) = water volume in m³/h |
The meter fits standard taps with 3/4" male thread (26.44 mm).
