Flow sensor FG100 from Rain Bird with 2 x 1" OT connections

This durable flow sensor from Rain Bird has been specially designed for the needs of domestic gardens. It monitors the irrigation system and reports immediately if there is a leak or a pipe breaks. Together with the ESP-ME3 controller and the LNK2 module, the flow rate can be conveniently monitored anytime and anywhere using the Rain Bird app. The flow sensor can also be operated with other Rain Bird and non-Rain Bird controllers, but this must be checked in detail.

When first commissioned, the flow sensor memorises the correct flow rate per circuit. If a deviation of +- 30% is detected later, automatic irrigation is interrupted and you can receive a message via the Rain Bird app. Here you can then also control the further procedure.

The FG100 flow sensor is best installed horizontally in a valve shaft. This makes it easy to reach in order to check the built-in strainer for impurities and remove them. It should also be installed downstream of the non-return valve and upstream of the first solenoid valve. There is no need to maintain a distance with a straight piece of pipe in order to achieve accurate measurement results.
The flow sensor can also remain installed in winter. To do this, the water must be blown out of the pipes before the first frost.
