Polyethylene PE pipe for garden irrigation.
If you want to irrigate your garden, you need PE pipe. PE pipe is made of plastic, is pressure-resistant and is therefore ideal for use in irrigation systems. You can use pressure-resistant PE pipe to lay the water pipes from the tap, cistern or well to the valve distribution system. You should use PE pipe with a pressure rating of PN12.5 or PN16 in order to optimally equip your system in this area. Consumers (sprinklers, drip irrigation or micro irrigation) are already located downstream of the solenoid valves, so a laying pipe with a lower pressure rating is sufficient here.
PE pipe : irrigation for your garden - properties and variants
Use the PE pipe to lay the water pipes for your irrigation system. Pressure-resistant PE pipe runs from the water source to the valve distribution. This pipe should be pressure-resistant to PN12.5 or PN16 (12.5 bar - 16 bar). The PE pipe should have a pipe diameter of 25 mm or 32 mm. The flexibility of HDPE pipe is lower due to the material used. However, it can withstand constant water pressure well. There are usually already consumers behind the solenoid valves and the water pressure is lower. LDPE laying pipes are mainly used there; these can be installed with plastic PE pipes with pressure ratings PN4 on the ground (above ground) or PN6 (underground).
Installation in irrigation technology: clamp connector or plug connector
Standard PE pipes are supplied on a roll and fitted with clamp connectors. The pipes are cut smoothly and the clamp connector is fitted step by step. To do this, the compression fitting, clamping ring and clamping body are screwed together to create a tight connection. 24 mm Blu Lock pipes are a quick and safe option for installation. This installation pipe is fitted with 24 mm Blu Lock connectors. Polyethylene PE pipes from Blu Lock are an innovative option recommended by DVS Irrigation for the installation of your garden irrigation system.
