Description

High-quality clamp connector for 40 mm PE pipe with 1½" external thread, UNIDELTA

The UNIDELTA brand clamp connectors create a solid connection to the PE pipes used. With the wide range of designs available, most requirements such as bends, branches, lengths to threads etc. can be easily solved.

Instructions for the installation of UNIDELTA clamp connectors:

Material:

  • Body and union nut made of food-grade PP: UV and oxidation-resistant; can be used outdoors
  • Clamping ring made of acetal synthetic resin PDM: Allows high tensile loads without reducing the tightness of the connection
  • Compression ring made of PP: compensates for the ovality of the pipe
  • Sealing ring made of black nitrile rubber NBR

Technical data:

  • Design: straight
  • Clamp connector for ø 40 mm PE pipe
  • 1¼" external thread (ø 47.8 mm)
  • Pressure resistance: PN 16 (16 bar at 20° C, operating medium water)

The installation of UNIDELTA compression connectors should be carried out carefully and in accordance with certain guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient connection. Here are the most important tips:

  • Pipe preparation: Make sure the pipe end is clean, smooth and free of burrs or sharp edges. It should be cut straight to ensure an even seal.
  • Correct sizing: Check that the size of the clamp connector matches the outside diameter of the pipe. A correct fit is crucial for the tightness and performance of the connection.
  • Cleaning: Clean the pipe ends and the inside surfaces of the fitting before installation to remove dirt and debris that could affect the seal.
  • Marking the insertion depth: Mark the insertion depth on the pipe to ensure that the pipe is fully inserted into the connector.
  • Inserting the pipe: Insert the pipe end fully into the clamp connector until it reaches the mark. Make sure that the pipe is inserted evenly.
  • Slide the clamping ring all the way in and tighten: Push the clamping ring firmly and flush against the base of the connector. Screw the compression fitting onto the connector and tighten it firmly. This secures the pipe and creates the seal. Check the manufacturer's specific tightening instructions to avoid over- or under-tightening.
  • Leak test: After installation, a leak test should be carried out to ensure that there are no leaks.Protection from environmental influences: Ensure that the connection is protected from extreme temperatures and UV radiation to prolong its service life.
  • Use the right tools: Use suitable tools for installation. Unsuitable tools can damage the clamp connectors.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions: It is very important to follow the manufacturer's specific instructions and recommendations, as these may vary depending on the type and model of the clamp connector.
  • Following these instructions will ensure that UNIDELTA clamp connectors are installed correctly and provide reliable, long-term performance.
