Dripping Blumat Bonsai: irrigation system for bonsai

The drip Blumat Bonsai is a Blumat model specially developed for watering bonsai pots.

With its significantly smaller and cylindrically shaped clay cell compared to the standard models, it is particularly suitable for watering plant pots from 2.5 - 3 cm deep. This allows you to reliably water particularly shallow trays with a low substrate height. The function of moisture measurement and water delivery corresponds to the normal drip Blumat.

• 28 mm length

Accessories required for installation:

Drip hose in desired length + T-piece (8x3x8) for connection to the supply hose (8mm). Connection to a tap with the Tropf-Blumat pressure reducer is recommended. A connection using a high tank connection spigot to a higher tank is also possible. During installation, a height difference of at least 1 m should be maintained between the tank and the plants to be watered.

Watering bonsai with the drip Blumat system:

The advantage of this irrigation method is the regularity with which the bonsai plants are watered as required. The wet-dry cycles between the irrigation sequences aerate the roots and create very good growing conditions. For planters with a higher substrate surface area, it is advisable to set up a dripper chain with distribution drippers and final distribution drippers so that the soil is evenly moistened. Once the irrigation has been optimally adjusted (using the adjustment screw on the watering head), the irrigation system is self-regulating and requires little maintenance and monitoring.
