The marking flags are used after planning the irrigation system to visualize the positions of the planned sprinklers, gear sprinklers and other components (valve box, ball valves, etc.) on site at the property. This makes it easier and quicker to transfer the planned pipe routing from the plan to the local conditions and the construction work can usually be carried out more easily.

For easier mapping, the small pipes can be labeled with a ballpoint pen or similar. For easier assignment, the flags can be labeled with a ballpoint pen or similar so that, for example, the appropriate rotators, sprinkler nozzles or nozzle inserts can be inserted into the sprinkler housings or gearbox sprinklers once the lines have been installed and the consumers positioned.
