ATTENTION: The external thread is so short that a connection with the internal thread will not be tight. In this case, two internal threads must be screwed together with a double nipple.

25 mm PVC distributor - union fittings for solenoid valves

The distributor fittings are made of PVC. They are designed so that the distributor can be easily installed in a valve box or mounted on the wall. The union fittings can be tightened by hand without tools.

All distributor connections have a 1" BSP thread. There are combinations of 1-inch BSP external threads and 1-inch internal threads, which allow for easy installation and maintenance of irrigation solenoid valves in a valve box. The union fittings allow components to be easily removed from an existing valve manifold for maintenance and replacement. The O-ring seals integrated into the female screw connections automatically seal when tightened, so you do not need Teflon tape/PTFE tape.

When installing the manifold, care should be taken to ensure that PE pipes are connected to the manifold without tension so that no lateral forces act on the connectors. This can be achieved, for example, by using an additional elbow in the PE pipe.

Valve distribution fittings – Build your own valve boxes and wall distributors with union fittings

The fittings make it easy to connect valves to irrigation systems. You can screw Hunter or Rain Bird solenoid valves into the existing female threads. The smooth end faces of the solenoid valves are pressed onto the O-ring integrated in the distributor. This seals the entire valve manifold when they are tightened by hand. These fittings also allow for easy removal of valves for servicing, even after many years.

Pro tip: Install the manifold so that solenoid valves on the right and left are accessible via union fittings. Then it is not necessary to disconnect PE pipes or dismantle the entire manifold from one end to replace a defective fitting in the middle!

The screw connections are all 1“ in size and are ideal for garden irrigation projects. Using a reducing fitting (1” AG x 3/4“ AG) the fittings can be reduced to 3/4” if necessary.
