Every cistern from which a garden irrigation system is fed is sometimes empty - especially in summer when it doesn't rain for several weeks, the demand for water for the irrigation system can exceed the water supply in the cistern.

The drinking water top-up ensures that your cistern is automatically refilled if the water level drops too low. This ensures a continuous supply of water for your garden irrigation and protects your pump from running dry. The backfeed meets the requirements for drinking water protection in accordance with DIN EN 1717.

Automatic drinking water make-up set for cisterns - "Electric drinking water make-up garden irrigation"

Rainwater in the cistern is a cost-effective and ecological source of water for watering the garden, but in the event of prolonged drought, the collected rainwater may not be sufficient for automatic garden irrigation. The electric drinking water top-up feeds drinking water as required if the water level in the cistern falls below the minimum water level. The top-up is carried out in accordance with drinking water protection as per DIN EN 1717. In the event of a water shortage/low water level, the 220V solenoid valve is automatically switched on via a float switch. This refills the cistern as required. The drinking water is fed via a free outlet in accordance with DIN EN 13076 type AA. The float should be set so that the entire irrigation can be carried out with the volume of water in the cistern. Intermediate plug: For connecting the cable of the float switch, a pump starts when the fill level of a tank is reached for its (partial) emptying.

The amount of water added depends on the pressure. Drinking water make-up set in 1/2 inch supplies approx. 2.5 m³/h of water at 3 bar pressure.
