Water-Tap Connection 25mm Plug&Rain® Eco

The Plug&Rain® Water-Tap Connection Eco for 25mm (¾") PE pipe creates a professional transition from the ¾" (26.44mm) water-tap to the filter unit or directly to the valve manifold. Due to the large internal diameters of the components used, the pressure loss in the tap connection is kept low, even at the high flow rates that can occur in irrigation systems.

The Plug&Rain® Water-Tap Connection in the Eco version consists of permanently pressure-resistant plastic pressure fittings which are installed with the 25mm PE pipe of a higher pressure resistance (for the section before the valve manifold which is subjected to permanent pressure, we recommend PN10 - 10bar pressure resistance at 20° C - or more).
An additional water outlet with a ball valve still allows the manual withdrawal of water from the water supply without having to remove the water-tap connection. A pipe fitting can also be easily attached to the ¾" inch (26.44mm) male thread of the ball valve, just like on a water-tap.

A tap connection for 25mm PE pipes is the right size for a water consumption of up to 1.8m³/h and pipe lengths of up to 50 metres per irrigation circuit. For systems with an even higher flow rate or with exceptionally long pipes, we recommend installing a system and thus also a tap connection in 32mm (1" inch) PE pipe.

The set consists of individual parts.

The brass coupling with ¾" (24.5mm) female thread is screwed directly onto the water-tap. A 25mm pressure fitting for PE pipe with 3/4" male thread is fitted into the brass coupling creating the transition to the PE pipe.
The screw thread between the tee and the elbow of the additional outlet is sealed with the enclosed Teflon tape. To do this, apply a few layers of Teflon tape to the thread following the direction in which it is screwed in. Once the correct amount of Teflon tape has been used, the elbow can now be screwed in against some resistance but still without tools.

The Plug&Rain® Water-Tap Connection Eco is intended for outdoor use only.

We recommend the use of PE pipe with a pressure resistance of 16bar (PN16) in the permanently pressurised area.
