The ATLAS X2 has two valve outputs. That covers a single irrigation section, a trial plot, or a crop with uniform water demand.
Our honest advice: start here. You get to know the system on a manageable area before deciding whether and how to convert the rest of the farm. If you later want to run more zones independently, the ATLAS X8 gives you eight outputs.

Why off-grid is the whole point
Most irrigated farmland has no mains connection. Conventional controllers therefore force you into either laying cable or switching manually on site.
The ATLAS X2 solves it differently: battery instead of mains, cellular instead of a data line. You mount it at the valve box – on a post or wall using the matching bracket – and control it from the yard from then on.
From timer control to demand-based control
The sensor input is why this is more than a remote control. Once a soil moisture or pressure sensor is connected, irrigation no longer starts by the clock but according to actual demand.
The side effect is worth at least as much: a pressure sensor tells you about a pipe burst or pump failure as it happens – not once you spot the damage in the crop.

Frequently asked questions
Do I really need a subscription?
Yes. Without an active annual subscription the controller sends no data and can't be reached via the app. Order subscription ZZ-SP-SUB-ATX2 alongside it.
How many valves can I connect?
Two. If you want to switch more zones independently, you need the ATLAS X8 with eight outputs. Note that the ATLAS X4, despite having four inputs, also has only two outputs – that's a common mix-up.
Does it work without mains power and Wi-Fi in the field?
Yes. The internal battery and cellular link make the controller independent of local infrastructure. All you need is mobile network coverage on the plot.
Can I use sensors from other manufacturers?
Yes, via the 4-20 mA adapter (ZZ-SP-420-C002). It lets you connect two sensors of any make with a current loop output – soil moisture, flow, level.
What's the difference between ATLAS X2, X4 and X8?
X2: 2 inputs, 2 outputs. X4: 4 inputs, 2 outputs. X8: 8 inputs, 8 outputs. The number of outputs is what matters – it determines how many valves you can switch independently.
