HUNTER MP Rotator MP-LS / MP-RS / MP-SS (1.5 to 4.6 m radius), available in 90° or 180° spray angles (MPLS/MPRS/MPSS)
The multi-jet rotary nozzle from Hunter for strips up to 1.5 m x 4.6 m
Equipped with this nozzle, your Plug&Rain MP-Rotator mounting kit or spray nozzle housing becomes a rotating spray nozzle. This offers several advantages:
- With the same throw distance, the MP Rotator uses around three times less water than a standard spray nozzle.
- The lower precipitation ensures that even heavier soils allow the precipitation to seep away, preventing it from running off the surface.
- Smaller pipe dimensions can be selected and a larger area can be irrigated per irrigation circuit.
Regardless of the selected sector setting and the set throw distance, the precipitation amount remains virtually identical and is around 10 mm of precipitation per hour for all standard models (MP1000, MP2000, MP3000, MP3500) is around 10 mm of precipitation per hour.
- This allows the use of different standard rotators with different sectors and throw ranges in one irrigation circuit.
- This greatly simplifies the creation of an irrigation concept with a uniform precipitation rate.
Instead of producing fine droplets, the MP Rotator irrigates with rotating jets.
- This prevents water loss due to spray formation.
- Wind drift of irrigation water is greatly reduced.
- It achieves throw distances of up to 10.5 meters, which significantly reduces the number of sprinklers required for larger lawn areas.
For these reasons, we recommend using MP Rotators for watering lawns.
Watering a lawn in a home garden is much easier with MP Rotators than with gear-driven sprinklers, and usually leads to better results, as the sprinkler's precipitation remains the same even when the sector or throw distance changes. In addition, home gardens usually require throw ranges of less than 6 m, which cannot be achieved with gear-driven sprinklers.
That's why MP Rotators are the first choice for watering your lawn!
For To help you plan your irrigation project, we have developed the DVS Sprinkler Planner online tool, where you can draw your garden or upload plans. The coverage with MP Rotators is automatically calculated and visualized here.
Manual adjustments are also possible afterwards.
We use the 2.1 bar housings when we want to achieve particularly short throw distances with the MP Rotators.
The locations where the brown cap housings (PRS30 housings) are used are marked in the plan (DVS irrigation planner) with a * symbol or with the addition PRS30.
The MP Rotator strip nozzles are designed for a simple overlapping layout. Each strip nozzle sprays up to the next one. Where possible, strip nozzles should be positioned diagonally opposite each other, i.e., alternately on both sides of the strip.
Technical data:
- Fine thread 5/8"–28 IG
- “Rectangular” spray pattern
- Adjustment screw to reduce the throw distance by up to 25%
- For all housings with fine thread 5/8"-28 AG (Hunter, Rain-Bird, etc.)
- Optimal function with the HUNTER “PROS-PRS40” spray housing
Hydraulic properties:
- Recommended operating pressure: 2.8 bar (280 kPa), maximum pressure: 4 bar
