The VB series valve box has a number of advantageous features: The smart lid design prevents insects from entering, furthermore the edges of the lid are beveled which prevents damage from garden tools, a groove on the edge makes it easier to open the manhole. The black housing is made from 100% LEED compliant recycled materials and features a wide stabilizing flange for increased side load strength. The ribbed sides give the valve wells structural stability to support heavy loads.

Get the job done faster and easier with a Rain Bird valve box. Our unique pre-cut knockout holes make it easy to place pipes and reduce installation time. There's no need for tedious cutting. And the knockout pieces slide back into place over the pipe to keep debris out during backfilling with soil.

All Rain Bird valve boxes are designed to maintain their horizontal and vertical integrity under load, even when the breakout pieces are removed.

Other unique features include a knockout bolt hole - this provision prevents small animals from entering the box when a locking bolt is not used - and a groove on the side of the box to facilitate removal of the lid with a spade.
