INSTALLATION AND APPLICATION:

PRESFLO MULTI differs from conventional pressure reducers in a number of innovative features: an air-filled expansion tank built into the device; manual adjustment of the pump's starting pressure and maximum current.

RESET PRESSURE AND MAXIMUM LOAD CURRENT

PRESFLO MULTI allows you to set the restart pressure of the pump between 1 and 5 bar and the maximum current between 4 and 16 A. The setting is made using two adjustment screws located under the removable cover of the electronic board. A single model covers a range of installation requirements.

INTEGRATED PRESSURE EQUIPMENT

PRESFLO MULTI has a built-in 2-litre container. The considerable storage volume combined with the ability to absorb overpressure - a typical characteristic of pressure equalisation vessels - makes it suitable for use in systems where other pressure reducing valves may prove inadequate. To ensure optimum protection and performance of the accumulator, it is possible to adjust the pressure of the accumulator, which is set to 2 bar at the factory, based on the selected pump starting pressure.

The PRESFLO MULTI is a single-phase pump controller for well pumps and cistern pumps with 230 V. The maximum power for switching the pumps is 1.5 kW. The electronic pump control starts the well pump depending on the pressure, e.g. when irrigation is started. In the event of a pressure drop in the permanent pressure line, the pump starts when a valve or a tapping point is opened. The pump is then switched off depending on the flow rate if less than 2 litres per minute are drawn off.

Flow switch for well pumps / cistern pumps with integrated dry-running protection

The PRESFLO MULTI is a control element suitable for garden irrigation. The PRESFLO MULTI switches the well pump on when water is drawn off and switches it off when water is no longer being drawn. The water demand is detected by measuring the pressure drop in the permanent pressure line. If, for example, a solenoid valve of the garden irrigation system is activated by the irrigation computer, the line pressure drops as water flows into the irrigation circuit. This then triggers the pump to switch on and leads to a pressure build-up. When the solenoid valve is closed or the water socket or tap is closed manually or water tap, the well pump is switched off again. The operating or switch-on pressure of the PRESFLO can be continuously adjusted between 1 bar and 5 bar. The dry-running protection integrated in the circuit protects the well pump from running dry. For this purpose, the module switches off the well pump after approx. 7 seconds if air has been pumped instead of water during operation. The PRESFLO MULTI is equipped with an internal non-return valve. The module can be installed both vertically and horizontally. In order to be able to adjust the switch-on and switch-off pressure properly, the difference in height between the PRESFLO MULTI and the highest tapping point of the irrigation system should not exceed 48 metres. This corresponds to a maximum pressure build-up in the PE pipes between the control unit and the highest point of 4.8 bar. Due to the IP protection class, the PRESFLO MULTI can also be operated in a well shaft (environment with up to 90% humidity), for example.

Application area PRESFLO MULTI:

The PRESFLO MULTI is suitable for automatic pressure and flow-dependent activation of a well pump in garden irrigation, lawn irrigation and bed irrigation. The well pump is activated as soon as there is an automatic or manual demand for water in the irrigation system or at manual water extraction points. The module is ideal for controlling the well pump, suctioning rainwater from cisterns using a submersible pump, in garden irrigation. Wells and cisterns with clear water containing as few particles as possible are ideal.

Installation instructions PRESFLO MULTI:

The PRESFLO pump control unit can be installed either directly at the outlet of the well pump or in the permanent pressure line between the water supply and the first solenoid valve of the irrigation system. For operation, it is essential to install all consumers downstream of the PRESFLO MULTI, i.e. also branches to water taps, water sockets, etc. No tapping points may be installed between the pump and PRESFLO.
