INSTALLATION AND APPLICATION:

PRESFLO MULTI differs from traditional pressure reducing valves by some innovative features: an air-filled expansion tank built into the unit; manual adjustment of the pump starting pressure and the maximum current.

RESTART PRESSURE AND MAXIMUM LOAD CURRENT

PRESFLO MULTI allows the pump restart pressure to be set between 1 and 5 bar and the maximum current to be set between 4 and 16 A. The adjustment is made possible by two adjustment screws located under the removable cover of the electronic board. A single model covers a range of installation requirements.

INTEGRATED PRESSURE EQUALIZATION VESSEL

PRESFLO MULTI has a built-in 2-liter reservoir. The considerable storage volume combined with the ability to absorb excess pressure - a typical characteristic of pressure equalization vessels - makes it suitable for use in installations where other pressure reducing devices may prove inadequate. To ensure optimal protection and performance of the accumulator, it is possible to adjust the pressure of the accumulator, which is factory set at 2 bar, based on the selected pump starting pressure.

The PRESFLO MULTI is a single-phase pump control for well pumps and cistern pumps with 230V. The power for switching the pumps is maximum 1.5 kW. The electronic pump control starts the well pump pressure-dependently, e.g. when irrigation is started. In case of pressure drop in the continuous pressure line, the pump starts when a valve or a tapping point is opened. The pump is then switched off flow-dependently when less than 2 liters per minute are tapped.

Flow switch for well pumps / cistern pumps with integrated protection against dry running

The PRESFLO MULTI is a control element suitable for garden irrigation. Through the PRESFLO MULTI, the well pump is switched on when water withdrawal starts and switched off when water withdrawal stops. Detection of water demand is done by measuring the pressure drop in the permanent pressure line. If, for example, a garden irrigation solenoid valve is activated by the irrigation computer, the line pressure drops as water flows into the irrigation circuit. This then triggers the pump to turn on and causes pressure to build up. When the solenoid valve closes or the water socket or faucet is manually closed
the well pump is switched off again. The operating or switch-on pressure of the PRESFLO can be continuously adjusted at the setting between 1 bar and 5 bar. The dry-running protection integrated in the circuit protects the well pump from running dry. For this purpose, the module switches off the well pump after approx. 7 seconds if air has been pumped instead of water during operation. The PRESFLO MULTI is equipped with an internal check valve. The module can be mounted vertically or horizontally. In order to be able to adjust the switch-on or switch-off pressure well, the height difference between the PRESFLO MULTI and the highest extraction point of the irrigation system should be max. 48m. This corresponds to a maximum pressure build-up in the PE pipes between the control unit and the highest point of 4.8 bar. Due to the IP protection class, the PRESFLO MULTI can also be operated e.g. in a well shaft (environment with up to 90% humidity).

Application PRESFLO MULTI:

The PRESFLO MULTI is suitable for automatic pressure and flow-dependent activation of a well pump in garden irrigation, lawn watering and bed irrigation. The well pump is activated as soon as a water demand arises automatically or manually in the irrigation system or at manual water tapping points. The module is ideal for controlling the well pump, suction of rainwater from cisterns by means of submersible pump, in garden irrigation. Wells and cisterns, with clear water with as few particles as possible are ideal.

Installation instructions PRESFLO MULTI:

The PRESFLO pump control can be installed either directly on the outlet of the well pump or in the permanent pressure line between the water supply and the first solenoid valve of the irrigation system. For operation, it is mandatory to mount all consumers after the PRESFLO MULTI, i.e. also branches to water taps, water sockets, etc. No tapping points may be installed between the pump and the PRESFLO.
