Contaminants in the water, such as sand grains, rust from corroded supply pipes or limescale particles, are often found in tap water. The proportion of particles in well or cistern water is even higher. These impurities can disrupt the function of your irrigation system and clog drip pipes and nozzles.

With a Plug&Rain® filter unit, you can significantly increase the reliability, operational safety and life expectancy of your irrigation system.

Safety through water meter and main valve

• Main valve: Depressurizes the irrigation system when it is not in operation. This increases safety, as water is only released at limited times. The redundancy of the main valve and solenoid valve in the valve box protects against leaks.
• Water meter for Hunter Hydrawise: The water meter is connected to the Hunter Hydrawise. The controller assigns the water consumption to the individual valves. This gives you detailed statistics on how much water has been used for which area of the garden. You can also set alarms so that you are notified by email or text message as soon as a circuit uses more or less water than usual, or if water escapes without a solenoid valve being open.

Plug&Rain - robust, safe and technically sophisticated filter station

The Expert filter unit for wall mounting in the Plug&Rain® system is a technically sophisticated filter unit with an extended range of functions thanks to a manual shut-off valve, an electric main valve, pulse water meters and access for compressed air. All clamps, hanger bolts and plugs are included so that you can mount the filter unit on an external wall.

The built-in 1 1/2" filter unit with a mesh size of 130 mesh protects your irrigation system from contamination and ensures that the pressure loss does not exceed 0.1 bar, even at flow rates of up to 3 m³/h. If the filter is clogged - recognizable by the decreasing operating pressure of the irrigation system - you can simply rinse it clean after opening the valve on the cover of the filter. DVS Irrigation also offers optional pressure gauges and LORA pressure sensors to determine when the filter should be flushed.

The electric main valve is automatically controlled by your Plug&Rain® controller and depressurizes your entire system outside irrigation times, thus increasing operational safety. The water meter reports every water consumption to your Hunter Hydrawise controls. This allows leaks to be detected and the water usage for your irrigation system to be precisely assigned to the individual irrigation zones. For winterizing, you can empty your entire irrigation system conveniently and professionally via the compressed air access.
