Water tap connection socket 25mm Plug&Rain Eco

The Plug&Rain® water tap connection socket Eco for 25mm (¾ inch) PE pipe creates a simple push-on connection from the water tap to the underground irrigation system via a hose. Due to the large internal cross-sections of the components used, pressure losses are kept low, even at high flow rates such as occur in irrigation systems.

The Plug&Rain® tap junction box in the Eco version consists of the following components:
- 2 metres of ¾ inch (19mm) quality hose with diagonal reinforcement and a burst pressure of 30bar.
- Two high-quality quick connectors (to be fitted on the tap side and on the water socket side) with enlarged internal cross-sections for a greater flow rate, as well as matching quick hose pieces for connecting to the hose.
- A water socket for installation flush with the floor, including a matching plug.
- A standard clamp connector for connection to the 25mm PE pipe
- A roll of Teflon tape to seal the connection between the water socket and the clamp connector.

The water junction box for 25mm PE pipes is correctly dimensioned for water consumption of up to 1.8m³/h and pipe lengths of up to 50 metres per irrigation circuit. For systems with an even higher flow rate or with exceptionally long pipes, we recommend designing the system and thus also the tap junction box with 32mm (1 inch) PE pipe.

For the parts of the irrigation system that are permanently under supply pressure, PE pipe with a pressure resistance of 10bar at 20°C (PN10) or more should always be used.

The set consists of individual parts.

Only the connection between the water socket and the clamp connector must be sealed with Teflon tape. For this purpose, the Teflon tape is wound onto the external thread to be sealed according to the screw-in direction. Once the correct number of windings has been applied, the clamp connector can now be screwed onto the water socket against resistance, but still without tools.
