MICRO-LIN Emitter – Compact, non-pressure-compensated emitter for thin-walled drip tubing

The MICRO-LIN emitter is a modern, compact, flat, integrated, non-pressure-compensated emitter designed for use in thin-walled drip lines with a wall thickness of up to 0.4 mm. Despite its small dimensions, it offers high flow capacity, good clog resistance, and cost-effective operation. This makes it an excellent choice for seasonal drip irrigation systems.

Thanks to a sophisticated labyrinth design with turbulent flow and an enlarged filter inlet area, MICRO-LIN reduces the risk of particle buildup and—with proper filtration—offers high clog resistance. The emitter is designed for drip lines with a diameter of 16 mm and can be used both outdoors and in greenhouses, including in plantings close to the house.

The emitter’s design allows for the use of water from various sources (wells, surface water, storage tanks), provided that filtration requirements are met.

Applications

The MICRO-LIN emitter is used in thin-walled drip lines and is suitable for:
• irrigation of field and row crops (vegetables, industrial crops, etc.);
• Vegetables grown in open fields and under plastic film;
• Greenhouses and plastic tunnels;
• Berry crops and plantations in their first year of planting;
• Smaller areas and home gardens, including gravity-fed systems and tank irrigation.

Important hydraulic note

MICRO-LIN is a non-pressure-compensated emitter. This means:
• water consumption at the emitter is higher at the beginning of the line than at the end,
• as the line length increases and pressure loss along the pipe occurs, this difference becomes more pronounced,
• on uneven terrain, the variation in flow rate between upper and lower areas increases,
• for low emitter flow rates, the required filtration fineness increases.

When properly hydraulically designed, a system with MICRO-LIN emitters ensures uniform, predictable, and economical irrigation of most vegetable, field, and landscape crops.
