This solution is particularly suitable for pre-filtering water from wells and rainwater tanks. If the water contains sand, silt, or other heavy particles, these are removed from the water flow at an early stage of filtration. This significantly reduces the load on downstream components such as pumps, valves, and filter cartridges.

The system operates on the principle of centrifugal force. Heavy particles are separated from the water and collected in the lower section. This makes this design particularly useful for water sources containing sediments, sand, or settleable matter.

Especially with well water or collected rainwater from cisterns and tanks, such pre-filtration can help reduce the strain on the entire irrigation system and extend the service life of subsequent filtration stages.

Important to note: This design is intended exclusively for pre-filtration of heavy particles. It does not replace fine filtration. For reliable and long-term operation, a fine filter is always required in addition to ensure that fine suspended solids and smaller contaminants are reliably retained.
