Polyethylene PE pipe for garden irrigation.
If you want to water your garden, you need PE pipe. PE pipe is made of plastic, pressure resistant and is therefore ideal for your use in irrigation systems. With pressure-resistant PE pipe you lay the water pipes from faucet, cistern or well to valve distribution. You should use PE pipes with a pressure rating of PN12.5 or PN16 in order to optimally equip your system in this area. Behind the solenoid valves are already consumers (sprinklers, drip irrigation or micro irrigation), there is sufficient laying pipe with a lower pressure rating.
PE pipe : irrigation for your garden - features and variants
With the PE pipe you lay the water pipes for your irrigation system. From the water source, pressure-resistant PE pipe leads to the valve distribution. This pipe should be PN12,5 or PN16 (12,5 bar - 16 bar) pressure resistant. The PE pipe should have a pipe diameter of 25mm or 32mm. The flexibility of HDPE pipe is lower due to the material used. On the other hand, it withstands the permanent water pressure well. Behind the solenoid valves are then usually already consumers, and the water pressure is lower. LDPE laying pipes are mainly used there, they can be installed with plastic PE pipe of PN4 pressure levels on the ground (above ground) or PN6 (underground).
Installation in irrigation technology: clamp connectors or plug-in connectors.
Standard PE pipes are supplied on a roll and installed with clamp connectors. The pipes are cut smooth and the clamp connector is installed step by step. This is done by screwing together the union fitting, clamping ring and clamping body so that a tight connection is created. A quick and safe variant for installation are 24mm pipes of the Blu Lock type. This installation pipe is mounted with 24mm Blu Lock connectors.
