Georipper / Geotrencher chain 500x60mm (max. 500 mm digging depth, 60 mm width; 1 piece) Stihl

GeoTrencher® / Georipper® replacement chain for Stihl with 60 mm diameter for the GR500 rail.

One GeoTrencher® / Georipper® replacement chain for Stihl is sold in a box.

Step 1: Place the drive motor on its side on a flat surface. Position the drive motor so that the digging rail bolts are visible. Loosen the tensioning bolts with an 18 mm spanner.

Step 2: Hold the digging rail with the mounting slot facing the drive motor. The digging rail can be rotated. The digging chain (GeoTrencher® / Georipper® replacement chain) is directional!

Step 3: Place the digging chain around the deflection star of the digging rail. The digging chain is directional, please note the information on the chain box.

Step 4: Place the digging chain over the GeoTrencher® drive pinion mounted on the drive motor. Hold the digging chain firmly. Guide the mounting slot of the digging rail over the mounting block. Then pull the digging rail away from the drive motor to slightly pre-tension the digging chain.

Step 5: Install the two large clamp bolts, lock washers and clamp plate. Tighten the clamp bolts slightly with the 18 mm spanner.

Step 6: Insert the slotted screwdriver into the tensioning slot on the back of the digging rail. Pull the digging rail away from the drive motor. Tighten both clamping screws to maintain the chain tension.

The chain tension for the GeoTrencher® / Georipper® replacement chain should be selected so that the chain sags 25-38 mm in the middle of the rail.
