Adapter socket with float switch for tank filling

The adapter socket with float switch is used for automatic control of a water pump with an external float switch (cable length 5 m).

The pump is connected to the adapter socket via the plug. The float switch is installed in the tank that is to be filled.

The water level and the switching point can be individually adjusted by the height of the anchor on the cable. If the water level in the tank drops, the float closes the contact and the socket is supplied with power. As soon as the set water level is reached, the contact opens again and the power supply is interrupted.

The adapter socket can be used with surface pumps, submersible pumps, and deep well pumps. In addition to its tank filling function, this cable can also be used as emergency protection for water level monitoring. This provides additional protection for pumps – provided that the connected pump has its own dry-run protection relay and does not exceed the permissible current load of the cable.
