Subsurface Dripline Irrigation

Water-saving irrigation: drip pipe underground 13.7 mm (1/2") inner diameter.

When installing underground drip tubing, care should be taken to use drip tube types that are recommended for underground installation. These models should have a silicone membrane to prevent further water from being released into the ground after irrigation is complete, or to prevent water and sand from being sucked into the drip tube. This function is called anti-Siphon.

Micro Drip System with root barrier - drip tube with a drip distance of 30 cm.

Some drip pipes for underground installation also have integrated copper plates to prevent root ingrowth. In addition, aeration and deaeration should be provided, so that after the end of the irrigation process, there is no negative pressure in the pipe, which could suck sand into the drip pipes.

Drip pipe underground: operation indicator to control the irrigation.

We recommend an operation indicator to have a visual control to operate the underground drip irrigation. As soon as water pressure is applied, a pop-up sprinkler rises and provides feedback that the irrigation circuit is active.

Mounting drip pipe underground: tee, end plug and elbow.

A drip pipe is usually installed with push-fit connectors or screw connectors. When cutting, care should be taken not to catch the drippers.  A tee branches the drip tube. This allows a very neat grid to be laid in the bed. Edge plantings can also be watered with a stub pipe. This is then closed with an end piece. DVS Sprinkling fittings are compatible with the Gardena Micro Drip System and Gardena drip pipe. In our Plug&Rain system, we offer a starter kit with all the parts needed for installation.

Underground installation of the drip pipe - close to the roots and economical.

Underground irrigation systems are becoming increasingly popular for garden watering. Underground drip irrigation is an efficient and convenient method of watering because it can be done automatically using a computerized timer. This means you don't have to remember to water your plants every day, and your garden will always look its best.

Other users who have installed drip irrigation systems for their lawns are also very happy with the results. One user says, "I love my new underground irrigation system! It has made my life so much easier. I no longer have to worry about watering my garden every day, and my plants always look healthy."

Drip tube underground 13.7 mm - finely dosed over the entire length

Drip tube has a drip point every 30 cm. Pressure-compensating pipe delivers water at a steady flow rate along the entire length of the pipe because the drippers operate independently of water pressure.  The precision and quality is influenced by the version of the drip elements. Drip pipes can be divided into seasonal and multiseasonal drip pipe category. As a product for garden irrigation we recommend only multisaisonal drip pipe. For installation in lawns, a root barrier integrated into the drip point is recommended.

What happens to the drip pipe underground in winter? Decommissioning with compressor and compressed air

Whether the irrigation is installed in lawns, beds or hedges. The best way to winterize the Micro Drip system is to drain the drip tube. This prevents freezing water in the drip tube from expanding underground and damaging the tube. Battery controls and the base unit should be stored in a frost-free location. When out of service, the working pressure of the compressed air should be approximately equal to the water pressure that occurs during irrigation. Compressed air can be supplied to the valve manifold or to a separate tee.
