Solenoid valves control are the components of the irrigation system that control the water flowfor each respective irrigation circuit. The system should be designed in such a way that the available quantity of water is sufficient enough to ensure that an irrigation circuit is always optimally supplied. The irrigation control then takes over the task of disconnecting each circuit, one after the other. Normally, solenoid valves are operated with 24 Volt alternating voltage (VAC). Connected to a Smart-Garden controller, 12 and 24 Volt DC are required to open and close the valves.

Solenoid valves can be installed in the ground in valve shafts or mounted on the wall with a valve distributor. Both variants are modularly expandable if additional irrigation circuits are to be connected later on.
