Submersible Pumps

Submersible Pumps for Cisterns

Submersible pumps with floating intake are suitable for use in a cistern. This type of water extraction ensures that water is sucked in just below the water surface, which prevents dirt particles floating on the surface from entering. Likewise, no heavily contaminated deep water enters the pump and thus the system.

Rainwater should be thoroughly filtered before it is stored in the cistern, to ensure a good initial water quality for irrigation.
An additional filter installed between the pump and the valve distribution ensures that the solenoid valve cannot be contaminated, and thus the irrigation system. Screen filters are particularly suitable as they are quick and easy to clean.

When using a cistern, consideration should be made during longer dry phases: there must be a mains water supply in order to maintain the functionality of the system.
